6 Weeks - 2 Year Old

Infants change daily. At Little Busy Bees we will create a learning environment that offers individual scheduling, consistency and flexibility, personalized area with photos of the child and their family, activity areas that will provide your child with endless opportunities for growth and development. Tickling toes, playing peek-a-boo, talking to children during diapering, getting the child to hold a cup after eating, etc., become the core of interactions with babies. In addition, infant environments should include a variety of stimulating things to do, such as: manipulate, touch, watch, and follow.

2- 3 Year Old

Toddlers are busy little people.

Their new found mobility allows teachers to plan and implement a more systematic daily activity schedule with more children following similar schedules throughout the day with plenty of opportunity to explore, play and learn in a safe classroom environment. We have available duplicates of materials or similar materials so that each child has his or her own play thing, Because children at this age tend to go where the action is, they will always be drawn to the adults and other children in the room. Two year old's are busy physically and verbally! At Little Busy Bees our 2- 3 year old program focuses on the critical relationship building that occurs at this age, supporting intellectual and social development. Encouraging Curiosity and Play. Manipulative toys are used to promote eye-hand coordination. Teachers emphasize daily routines and social interaction. Picture books, songs and skits are used to increase color, shape and number recognition. Fostering awareness our teachers organize socio-dramatic play activities so children can dress-up and role-play. This develops new skills, such as problem-solving, self-care routines and conversation. Children are frequently read stories to build listening skills and are often asked to repeat the stories to develop memory recognition. These skills should be in place before entering into a preschool classroom environment.

3- 5 Year Old

At preschool age, children are learning many cognitive skills to prepare them for kindergarten. At Little Busy Bees we believe that the best environment for preschoolers is one that consists of cognitive, and social lessons and developmentally appropriate play. At this age, our most important goals are for children to get along well with others and become independent learners who are prepared to take on the challenges of kindergarten. These goals are accomplished through themed activities planned and implemented in our curriculum.

School age & Summer Camp

School children ages 5 to 12 years old enjoy their ‘out of school’ time at Little Busy Bees. Our goal is to provide opportunities for them to explore, discover, and achieve their greatest potential by offering activities related to a monthly theme. Our Club is a well rounded program that offers a schedule that will include a snack and quiet time activities, helping them to unwind after an active day. A variety of monthly themes will inspire exciting play scenarios. A students daily experiences with the freedom to make choices in dramatic arts, construction, music, creative expression, reading, homework, problem solving and games, or just relaxing. Most importantly, your children will be safe and well taken care of until they are picked up.

Little Busy Bees Summer Camp Program is designed to provide a fun and exciting environment for your child, while continuing to help them explore and discover the world around them. While at our Summer Camp your child will have the opportunity to participate in different weekly themes with engaging activities, educational field trips and projects with their peers.
